This game play mod adds a tube of acne cream that can be stored in a teen's inventory and used to change their personal hygiene level for acne/spots/zits.
Place the tube of acne cream from Buy Mode onto a surface.
In Live Mode, have a teen click on the tube and set their personal hygiene level. When the teen's hygiene falls below this level, there is a chance they will have an outbreak of acne. The default value is +50 (or a 75% full hygiene bar, remember hygiene ranges from -100 to +100), although this may be different if you're using a global mod that changes the acne hygiene level for all teens.
Note, all Set Hygiene menu options, except for Zero, add or subtract from the current value.
For example, to set a value of 35, knowing the starting value is (the default) 50, select -10 then -5, or, if the starting level is unknown, you could select Zero, +10, +10, +10, +5 (or Zero, +50, -10, -5 or ... well I'm sure you get the idea!)
For no acne, set a value of -100; to guarantee acne, set a value of +100
Common values are +50 (75% daily chance of acne - this is the standard game default), +33 (67%), zero (50%), -33 (33%), -50 (25%) and -100 (0%)
(To set any value X%, calculate H = (2 * X) - 100, for example, a daily chance of 40% is (2 * 40) - 100 = -20, so set a hygiene value of -20 by Zero, -10, -10)
Select "Show Settings" to display the current state and hygiene value of the selected tube
Trudy has better skin than most, so gets fewer spots than her class mates.
The cream only works when in a teen's inventory, so make sure to always use the "Put Away" option to return the tube to their inventory after changing or reviewing the settings
The tube of cream cannot be placed directly into their inventory, this is to avoid adding two tubes with different hygiene/state settings.
BCON 0x1000 contains various settings for controlling the mod.
- 0x0 - Version - do not change this please!
- 0x1 - Default Hygiene - this is the hygiene value that will be used if, for any reason, the global value cannot be obtained from the Zits Tester. The default value is +50 (75%), the same as the standard game. You should not need to change this value, as if it is ever needed, there is something badly wrong!
To change the default value of the chance of acne, it is necessary to use a global mod to change the value stored in the Zits Tester, for example, Less Zits by gummilutt
Compatible with configuration (BCON) only mods that change the hygiene level globally for all teens.
The main mod changes one BHAV (0x1002 'Set/Unset Zits') and adds one BHAV (0x1010 'CT - Get Hygiene') in the 'Zits Tester' object (group 0x7FA516A2), so will conflict with any mod that does the same.
The tube of acne cream has its own GUID so will NOT conflict with any other object.
